227 Hay Street is a two-story brick building circa 1914. It began it’s life as Johnson’s Café and was known for most of it’s later life as Brady’s Soda Shop. In December 1999 it reopened as the home of Rude Awakening coffee house. In 1998 Bruce and Molly Arnold and their daughter, Rhonda Yocum, purchased 227 Hay St. in historic downtown Fayetteville, NC.
